Cairns, in the far northern corner of Queensland Australia, is the venue for the worldsleep07: The 5th World Congress of the World Federation of Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine Societies to be held 2-6 September 2007.
The meeting will bring together the worlds leading basic and clinical sleep researchers, clinicians, sleep technologists, students and industry in the WFSRSMS’s first quadrennial congress in the Asia-Pacific region. A fascinating scientific programme is planned with plenary lectures, symposia, thematic poster sessions and a range of satellite meetings including the International Symposium on Sleep and Breathing.
Cairns is a vibrant tropical city and the only place in the world with two adjoining world heritage treasures, the Great Barrier Reef and The Rainforest. Dear colleagues!
3rd International school-conference "Sleep: a window to the world of wakefulness" will be held September 26-27, 2005 as a satellite symposium of International Conference on Neurocybernetics (ICNC-05, see: www.krinc.ru ) celebrating the 90-th Anniversary of Rostov State University.
The goal of the Conference is to attract attention of young investigators, students and clinicians to the basic problems of the somnology. The Conference will include reviews of latest research and modern methodical approaches covering a wide spectrum of sleep and wakefulness mechanisms. Special lectures and reports will be presented by leading Russian and foreign scientists, most part of young investigators' reports will be presented as posters. Participation is free (there is no registration fee). Moreover, authors of best reports will be exempted from all the payment (transportation and hotel).
Conference topics: Psychophysiology of sleep, Mechanisms of sleep and wakefulness regulation, Circadian rhythms and neurochemistry of sleep, Basic and applied aspects of sleep medicine. Deadline for abstract submission (1 p.) and registration is June 1st. Abstracts should be submitted by e-mail: icnc05@nisms.krinc.ru. Participants have a possibility to publish a more detailed version of their reports (2-6 p., with ill., tab.) as a brief communication (at the author's expense). Authors who wish their brief communication published submit a payment in the amount of 450 rubles (about 15$US).
